Copper Pipework

Copper pipework is available in a number of sizes in the UK which follow the European standard EN 1057. These sizes are generally referred to by their external diameter in millimetres. For your convenience these are listed below along with some useful properties.

Older installations may still be using imperial sizes for copper pipework such as ½ inch, ¾ inch and 1 inch (as measured by internal diameter). Adapters can be purchased to join these sizes to modern pipework.
